This compact, stand-alone unit is powerful enough to maintain precise patient temperatures during lengthy and complex surgical procedures, such as open heart surgery. The system can be managed either manually or be allowed to automatically control a patient#s temperature to set point using the remote interface. The control unit draws temperature-controlled water through disposable gel pads applied directly to the patient#s body. In automatic mode, the control unit analyzes the patient#s rate of temperature change.
