- Proleukin, a metastatic melanoma and metastatic renal cell carcinoma treatment is a form of immunotherapy that uses the body's natural immune system to fight cancer
- Proleukin is an interleukin that has been used for over 10 years in the treatment of metastatic melanoma and over 15 years in the treatment of metastatic kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma)
- When reconstituted with 1.2 mL Sterile Water for Injection, USP, each mL contains 18 million International Units (1.1 mg) Proleukin, 50 mg mannitol, and 0.18 mg sodium dodecyl sulfate, buffered with approximately 0.17 mg monobasic and 0.89 mg dibasic sodium phosphate to a pH of 7.5 (range 7.2 to 7.8)
- Store vials of lyophilized Proleukin in a refigerator at 2 to 8 degrees C (36 to 46 degrees F)
